Baga Beach

Dudhsagar Waterfalls
Four tiers of white water dropping around 310 metres through the Bhagwan Mahavir sanctuary, at its most spectacular between October and December when the monsoon has filled it. One practical point matters more than everything else written about it: you cannot drive to Dudhsagar. Private vehicles are not permitted past Mollem, and access is by Forest Department jeep, booked at the counter and shared, followed by a short walk. Basilica of Bom Jesus

The laterite exterior has been left unplastered for over a century, which gives it a weathered, quietly monumental look quite unlike anything else in India. Se Cathedral and the Church of St Francis of Assisi stand within a few minutes' walk, so the whole of Old Goa is a single stop. There is proper coach parking and level access. Allow ninety minutes for the complex.
Anjuna Flea Market
Wednesdays only, and that constraint should shape your itinerary rather than be discovered on a Thursday. The market has run on the same headland since the 1970s and now sprawls over several acres of stalls selling handicrafts, textiles, silver, spices and a great deal of cheerful nonsense, with prices that reward bargaining and a crowd that is half the entertainment. It is the single best group activity in North Goa because everyone finds something different. Parking is on the approach road and fills early; arrive before eleven or accept a walk in.
Fort Aguada
A Portuguese fort of 1612 built on the headland where the Mandovi meets the sea, laterite walls still largely intact, with a freshwater spring inside that once supplied passing ships and gave the fort its name. The four-storey lighthouse is among the oldest of its kind in Asia. What brings people up is the view: the whole sweep of the coast north toward Calangute on one side and the river mouth on the other, best in the last hour of daylight. The road up is manageable for a tempo traveller with parking near the entrance, and the walk around the ramparts is short.
Palolem Beach
Seventy kilometres south and a different country altogether. Palolem is a near-perfect crescent of sand between two headlands, backed by palms and low-key huts rather than concrete, with water calm enough for kayaking and dolphin boats going out at dawn. The silent discos, where everyone dances in headphones because amplified music is restricted, are a genuine Goa curiosity worth one evening. Cancel between 48 and 72 hours before departure and a charge of 10 percent of the total trip fare applies, with the advance refunded less that deduction.
Cancel between 24 and 48 hours before departure and the charge is 25 percent of the total trip fare, with the advance refunded less that deduction.
Cancel between 12 and 24 hours before departure and the charge rises to 50 percent of the total trip fare, with the advance refunded less that deduction.
Cancel less than 12 hours before departure and the charge is 75 percent of the total trip fare. Any refund is minimal or nil depending on the trip value.
In the case of a no-show, where the vehicle has been deployed and the client is absent, the full trip fare is payable and no refund is due.
If Tejas Travels cancels, whether through a breakdown or force majeure, there is no charge whatsoever. You are refunded in full within 2 working days, or offered a substitute vehicle.
Special Cancellation Conditions
● Weddings: minimum 7 days' notice for a full refund. Cancellations within 3 days of the wedding date are non-refundable.
● Luxury cars: the Rolls-Royce, BMW 7 Series and Mercedes S-Class require a minimum of 5 days' notice for a full refund, given limited fleet and wedding season demand.
● Peak dates: New Year, Diwali and Bangalore long weekends require a minimum of 48 hours' notice for a full refund. Under 24 hours is non-refundable.
● Force majeure: Bangalore bandhs, traffic disruptions and road closures attract a 100 percent refund within 2 working days, regardless of the notice period.
● Modifications: date changes, vehicle upgrades and route additions made more than 24 hours ahead are accommodated at no penalty, subject to availability.

A billing error or overcharge is refunded in full within 2 to 3 working days of verification, and a duplicate payment is returned in full within 2 to 3 working days of confirmation.

It is also winding, slower, and harder on anyone prone to motion sickness. The inland route through Chitradurga, Davangere, Hubli and Belagavi is about 560 kilometres on faster four-lane highway and easier on a long vehicle. For a daytime run, take the coast. For an overnight run where the group intends to sleep, take the inland road.
