Terms and Conditions | Tejas Tours & Travels Bangalore

These Terms and Conditions govern all vehicle rental and travel services provided by Tejas Tours & Travels across Bangalore, Mysore, and outstation routes. By making a booking with us, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.
Booking and Payment
- Booking Confirmation: A 15% advance payment confirms your booking, with the remaining balance due before the journey concludes.
- Payment Structure: For bookings, pay 50% at the time of booking, 25% before the trip starts, and settle the remaining balance before the journey ends.
- Distance Calculation: Kilometre reading starts and ends at our Bangalore garage. All distances are calculated on a garage-to-garage basis.
- Minimum Kilometres Per Day: A minimum of 300 km per day applies for outstation trips. New billing starts as per calendar day.
- Booking Process: Follow the step-by-step booking process on our website or contact us on WhatsApp +91 9980277773 for assistance.
- Rate Variability: Quoted rates are subject to change during long weekends, peak seasons such as Dasara, New Year, and summer holidays, or special occasions. Any revised rate will be communicated before confirming the booking.
- New Price Acceptance: If a customer does not wish to proceed with a revised price, they may cancel the booking subject to applicable cancellation charges.
GST and Billing
- Goods and Services Tax (GST): As per government norms, GST is applicable on all bookings. Vehicle rental services attract 5% GST. Tour packages with accommodation and other bundled services attract 18% GST. All quoted prices are exclusive of GST unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Bill Requirement: A GST invoice will be issued upon request. Our GSTIN: 29AKUPP7724J2Z6. Corporate clients across Bangalore's IT corridors — including Whitefield, Electronic City, Manyata Tech Park, and Outer Ring Road — can set up monthly billing with purchase order workflows by contacting info@tejastravels.com.
Inclusions and Exclusions
- Inclusions: Local packages include fuel, seat covers, DVD player, LCD screen, and MP3 player.
- Exclusions: All vehicle package prices exclude GST, airport tolls, Nice Road toll charges, parking, interstate permits, meals, accommodation, guide services, sightseeing entrance fees, and porterage. These are charged as per actuals.
- Sightseeing and Guide Services: Entrance fees for all sightseeing attractions are to be borne by customers. Guide services are not included in the package and are available at an additional cost.
- Meals and Accommodation: The package does not include meals or accommodation. These need to be arranged separately.
Additional Charges
- Additional Charges: Parking fees, tollgate charges, interstate permits, and night-time surcharges are not included in the package price and are to be borne by the customer as per actuals.
- Interstate Permit: Interstate permits are valid for a 7-day round trip. For Pondicherry, a 1-day permit applies. No permits will be issued after the trip has commenced.
- Driver Batta: For local trips in Bangalore and Mysore, Driver Batta charges apply after 10 hours of service or for any service between 10 PM and 6 AM. For outstation trips, Driver Batta applies for any portion of the journey between 10 PM and 6 AM.
- Local Usage Surcharge: For local usage beyond 8 hours, an additional hourly charge applies.
- Airport and Nice Road Toll Parking: Charges for airport and Nice Road toll parking are based on actuals and are not included in the package.
- Air Conditioning: Air conditioning functions effectively while the vehicle is in motion. Additional charges apply for stationary AC usage. Tejas Tours & Travels is not responsible for AC performance in extreme weather conditions, high-altitude roads, or during heavy traffic on Bangalore's Outer Ring Road or Electronic City flyover sections.
- Washing and Cleaning Charges: A cleaning fee of Rs. 500 will be levied for vehicles decorated for weddings, functions, or special occasions. Additional washing and cleaning charges apply for stains, smells, vomit, or any similar mess caused during the trip.
- Factors Beyond Control: Charges arising due to factors beyond our control — including flight delays, Bangalore traffic congestion, road blockages, or natural events — are additional and will be communicated to the customer.
Vehicle Usage and Responsibility
- Interior and Exterior Damage: Customers are solely responsible for any damage — interior or exterior — caused to the vehicle during the trip. If customers insist on taking congested or damaged roads that result in vehicle damage, the associated repair costs will be borne by the customer.
- Prohibited Activities: Smoking and consumption of alcohol or intoxicants are strictly prohibited inside all Tejas Tours & Travels vehicles across Bangalore and Mysore.
- Customer Behaviour: Tejas Tours & Travels reserves the right to refuse services to any customer exhibiting unruly behaviour, intoxication, or posing a threat to the driver, vehicle, or co-passengers. No refund will be issued in such cases.
- Customer Belongings and Valuables: Customers are solely responsible for their personal belongings. Tejas Tours & Travels is not responsible for any items lost or left behind in the vehicle. Passengers are advised not to leave valuables unattended.
- Baggage Allowance: Baggage is accommodated based on vehicle capacity. Porterage is not included in the tour package.
- First Aid: A complete first aid box is available in all Tejas Tours & Travels vehicles at all times.
- Passenger Travel Insurance: Tejas Tours & Travels does not offer passenger travel insurance. Travellers are encouraged to arrange their own travel insurance before booking.
- Package Price: All quoted prices are final and non-negotiable. Package prices are already competitively priced for Bangalore and Mysore market rates.
Re-routing, Alterations, and Upgrades
- Re-routing Requests: Customer requests for route changes during the journey will be accommodated where possible. Any resulting additional tolls, permits, or distance charges will be borne by the customer.
- Trip Alterations: Changes in travel dates or vehicle preferences are permissible with prior notice. Last-minute alterations may attract additional charges.
- Flexible Vehicle Upgrade: Customers may upgrade their selected vehicle subject to availability. Any additional charges will be communicated and agreed upon before the upgrade is confirmed.
- Prepone and Postpone: Changes in travel dates are treated as cancellations and are subject to applicable cancellation charges. Upgrading vehicles mid-trip is also subject to cancellation charges on the original booking.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations: All cancellations must be communicated in writing via email to info@tejastravels.com or in writing via WhatsApp to +91 9980277773.
- Cancellation Charges: Cancellation charges vary based on the timing of cancellation — from 25% one week before the trip to 100% for cancellations made one day before the journey. Please refer to our full Cancellation Policy for complete details.
- Booking Amount Non-Refundable: For cancellations made one day before the journey, the booking advance is 100% non-refundable.
- Booking Changes: Changes in travel dates or vehicle upgrades are considered cancellations and are subject to applicable cancellation charges.
- Company-Led Cancellations: If Tejas Tours & Travels cancels a trip, a full refund will be issued within 3 to 4 working days. Customers may also opt for alternative tour options or apply the booking amount to a future trip.
- Vehicle Unavailability: If the booked vehicle is unavailable on the confirmed date, a refund will be processed within 2 to 3 working days.
- Right to Cancel: Tejas Tours & Travels reserves the right to cancel any booking at any time and for any reason. The amount paid will be refunded without interest.
- Guest Cancellations: If a guest cancels due to unavoidable reasons, they must inform Tejas Tours & Travels promptly. Cancellation charges will apply as per the schedule above.
Refunds and Complaints
- Refund Processing: Refunds are processed within 8 to 10 working days following verification of any extra amounts collected. This ensures accuracy before the refund is initiated.
- Complaint Notification: Any complaints about our services, vehicles, or drivers must be reported within 7 days of the trip's conclusion for consideration of refund or compensation. Contact us at info@tejastravels.com or call +91 9980277773.
- Customer Feedback: We encourage all customers to provide constructive feedback. Your input helps us continuously improve our services across Bangalore and Mysore.
Journey Conditions
- Traffic and Delays: In cases of traffic congestion — particularly during Bangalore peak hours on ORR, Silk Board, or Electronic City — journey duration may vary. Customers are advised to plan travel time accordingly.
- Road Repair Delays: Delays caused by road repair work or construction may extend journey duration. This is particularly common on Bangalore outstation routes to Mysore, Coorg, and Hosur.
- Weather Conditions: In the event of heavy rainfall, flooding, or natural disasters affecting the journey — including conditions on ghat roads to Coorg, Ooty, or Chikmagalur — trip adjustments may be necessary for safety.
- Conclusion of Trip: Any extra charges beyond the agreed price — including parking, tolls, additional kilometres, or waiting charges — must be settled before the journey concludes.
Emergency Procedures
- Vehicle Breakdowns: While we maintain our fleet diligently, unforeseen vehicle breakdowns may occur. In such cases, Tejas Tours & Travels will arrange alternative transportation as promptly as possible.
- Emergency Procedures: In the event of an emergency, customers are expected to follow the instructions of the driver for a safe and orderly response.
Governing Law
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Karnataka, India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.
