•      48 to 72 hours before departure — 10 per cent of the total trip fare is charged. Advance refunded less the 10 per cent deduction.

•      24 to 48 hours before departure — 25 per cent of the total trip fare is charged. Advance refunded less the 25 per cent deduction.

•      12 to 24 hours before departure — 50 per cent of the total trip fare is charged. Advance refunded less the 50 per cent deduction.

•      Less than 12 hours before departure — 75 per cent of the total trip fare is charged. Minimal or no refund depending on trip value.

•      No-show, vehicle deployed and client absent — 100 per cent of the total trip fare is payable. No refund.

•      Cancellation by Tejas Travels due to breakdown or force majeure — No charge. 100 per cent refunded within 2 working days, or a substitute vehicle is offered.

Special Cancellation Conditions

•      Weddings — For Bangalore wedding hire, a minimum 7-day notice is required for a full refund. Cancellations within 3 days of the wedding date are non-refundable.

•      Luxury vehicles — Minimum 5-day notice for a full refund, due to limited Bangalore fleet availability and wedding season demand.

•      Interstate permits — Where Tamil Nadu and Kerala permits have already been obtained for your dates, the permit cost is non-refundable irrespective of notice period, since it is paid to the state authorities in advance.

•      Peak dates — Onam, the boat race season, the December to February peak, New Year and Bangalore long weekends require a minimum 48-hour notice for a full refund. Less than 24 hours is non-refundable.

•      Houseboat and resort cancellations — Operator cancellation terms are separate from ours and outside our control. Cancelling a houseboat does not automatically cancel your vehicle booking; tell us directly.

•      Force majeure — Bangalore bandhs, Kerala hartals, monsoon flooding, landslides on the ghat routes, road closures and traffic disruptions: 100 per cent refund within 2 working days regardless of notice period.

•      Modifications — Date changes, vehicle upgrades and route additions with more than 24 hours notice are accommodated at no penalty, subject to availability. Note that a vehicle change requires fresh interstate permits, so give as much notice as you can.
