Chandragiri Fort

Chandragiri Fort

Built in the eleventh century, Chandragiri Fort is a majestic historical landmark located about 11 km from Tirupati city. The fort served as the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire in its later years and was the site where the British East India Company was granted its first land deed. Visitors can explore the Raja Mahal and Rani Mahal within the fort complex, both of which feature impressive Indo-Saracenic architecture. The fort also has a small museum that displays coins, weapons, and inscriptions from the Vijayanagara period. The panoramic view of the surrounding plains from the ramparts is spectacular. A sound and light show conducted in the evenings brings the fort's history to life and is highly recommended for history enthusiasts.

Sri Venkateswara National Park

Sri Venkateswara National Park

Spanning 353 square kilometres in the Eastern Ghats, Sri Venkateswara National Park is a designated biosphere reserve and a paradise for wildlife and nature lovers. The park is home to over 175 species of birds, including the Indian grey hornbill and the white-rumped vulture. Mammals such as leopards, sloth bears, and Indian pangolins inhabit the dense forests. Talakona Waterfall, the highest waterfall in Andhra Pradesh at 270 feet, is situated within the park boundaries and is one of the most photographed natural sites in the region. The forest department organises guided trekking trails inside the park, and the experience of walking through ancient Gondwana forests at dawn is unmatched. Families with children will find the park particularly engaging.

Kapila Theertham

Kapila Theertham

Kapila Theertham is a scenic waterfall temple complex situated at the foot of the Tirumala Hills and dedicated to Lord Shiva in his form as Kapileswara. The waterfall flows directly into the temple complex, creating a unique and spiritually charged environment where devotees can bathe in the holy waters. The surrounding dense forest of the Tirumala Hills provides a cool, refreshing backdrop, making this one of the most serene sightseeing places in Tirupati. The temple is associated with the sage Kapila Muni and is believed to be one of the 108 Divya Desams. The sound of flowing water combined with the fragrance of temple flowers and incense creates an atmosphere unlike any other religious site in the region.

Silathoranam - Natural Stone Arch

Silathoranam - Natural Stone Arch

Silathoranam is one of the rarest natural geological wonders on Earth — a natural rock arch formed over 1.5 billion years ago during the pre-Cambrian era. Located near the Tirumala temple complex, this formation is 8 metres wide and 3 metres high and bears a striking resemblance to the hood of a serpent along with sacred symbols of a conch and discus. Geologists regard Silathoranam as one of only three known natural arches of its kind in the world. Religious belief holds that this rock arch was the original source of the deity at the Venkateswara Temple. Visiting at sunrise or sunset enhances the visual impact of the arch, which glows golden against the Eastern Ghats skyline.

Papavinasanam Dam

Papavinasanam Dam

Papavinasanam Dam is a reservoir situated deep inside the Tirumala Hills at an altitude of approximately 853 metres above sea level. The name translates to "the destroyer of sins," and pilgrims believe that bathing in these waters cleanses them of past misdeeds. The reservoir is fed by natural springs enriched with medicinal herbs, and the water quality is remarkably clean. The surrounding landscape of lush forest and rocky hillsides makes Papavinasanam a favourite picnic spot for families visiting Tirupati. The walk from the Tirumala bus stand to the dam passes through shaded forest paths and is a refreshing way to spend a morning. Photography enthusiasts will find the reflection of the hills on the still water surface particularly rewarding.

ISKCON Temple, Tirupati

ISKCON Temple, Tirupati

The ISKCON temple in Tirupati, dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha, is a vibrant spiritual and cultural centre that welcomes devotees and tourists alike. The temple complex is beautifully constructed in a blend of Dravidian and North Indian architectural styles and is maintained to an exceptionally high standard. The daily aarti ceremonies, bhajan sessions, and prasadam distribution make a visit here a deeply fulfilling experience. The temple also runs educational programmes and an organic farm. Located within the main town area, the ISKCON temple provides a calm counterpoint to the bustle of the Tirumala pilgrimage and is especially popular with families who visit Tirupati with young children.

TTD Gardens

TTD Gardens

The TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) Gardens are a group of beautifully maintained ornamental, flower, and landscape gardens spread across approximately 460 acres on the Tirumala Hills. These gardens supply nearly 500 kilograms of flowers to the temples in and around Tirupati every single day. Visitors can walk through rose gardens, herbal sections, and topiary displays that are meticulously maintained by the TTD horticulture department. The gardens offer a peaceful respite from the crowds near the main temple and are ideal for a quiet walk at dawn or dusk. Believed to have been started by the legendary Vaishnava saints Sri Ramanuja and Sri Anandalwar, the gardens carry both botanical and historical significance.

Minibus Packages for Every Group

Every quotation is built around what the group actually needs rather than a fixed menu. The four tiers below describe how we typically structure mini bus booking online enquiries on this corridor.

Family Minibus Package

This is the dominant use case on the Tirupati route - joint families, extended households and multi-generational groups travelling together for darshan. The 17 and 21 seater configurations work best, and they also sit in the vehicle band most likely to be permitted on the Tirumala ghat road, which matters more here than on any other route we run. We plan these itineraries around the realities of a pilgrimage day: a pre-dawn departure, a proper breakfast at Kolar, arrival timed to your darshan slot, and Tiruchanur added either the evening before or immediately after the descent. Drivers on family bookings are selected for patience with elderly passengers, extended halts and long waits outside the queue complex.

Corporate Minibus Package

For company-sponsored pilgrimage groups, employee welfare trips and staff outings, which are more common on this corridor than people expect. The Executive Mini Coach tier is standard: pushback seats, charging points and a public address microphone that is genuinely useful for keeping a group of thirty coordinated across a temple town. Documentation is handled up front, with GST invoicing, a Proforma Invoice at quotation stage for purchase-order approval, monthly consolidated billing and thirty-day credit terms for signed accounts. For ongoing requirements see our corporate travels bangalore and employee transportation services bangalore programmes.

Budget Minibus Package

For residents associations, temple committees, student groups and large community pilgrimages where the priority is the lowest defensible per-head figure. Standard AC minibus, 25 or 35 seater to maximise headcount, and a straightforward point-to-point itinerary. Filling the vehicle is what makes this tier work - a 35 seater carrying thirty-four passengers gives the lowest per-head cost we can offer on this corridor. One caveat specific to Tirupati: the largest vehicles are the ones most likely to be stopped at Alipiri and require a transfer to the APSRTC ghat service, so we will tell you honestly whether the cheapest per-head option is also the most convenient one for your group.

Luxury Minibus Package

For VIP pilgrimage parties, senior family groups who want maximum comfort on a pre-dawn departure, and premium tour groups. This tier moves into the force urbania rent bangalore and luxury mini coach range: reclining captain seats, generous legroom, superior climate control and visibly higher interior standards. It is also the tier we most often recommend on this route for groups travelling with elderly members, because a comfortable seat matters far more on a 4:00 AM departure followed by hours of standing than it does on an ordinary drive. Availability is limited and festival-period demand is heavy, so book with lead time.

Fare Inclusions, Exclusions and Advance Payment

Every Tejas Tours and Travels quotation for the Bangalore to Tirupati corridor is issued in writing with the structure below. Nothing outside this list is charged, and everything inside it is stated before you confirm.

Advance payment: 20 percent of the total fare is payable in advance to confirm the booking.

Included in the Quoted Fare

1.   Base fare and fuel charges

2.   Driver allowance

Not Included in the Quoted Fare

3.   Toll and parking charges

4.   Interstate tax and permit charges

5.   Driver bata after 9:45 PM, charged extra

6.   Final rental is calculated on total kilometres and hours from our garage to garage

7.   GST

Insurance note: Tejas Tours and Travels does not cover passenger insurance. Passengers are advised to arrange their own travel cover where required. Vehicles carry the statutory motor insurance required under law.

Three points matter specifically on this route. First, darshan tickets, TTD accommodation and any pooja or seva fees are entirely outside the vehicle fare and are booked by you through TTD - we do not charge for them and we do not promise them. Second, the Alipiri ghat toll is a separate charge from the highway tolls and is billed at actual like every other toll. Third, the driver bata clause is worth reading carefully here, because same-day return darshan trips very often finish after 9:45 PM; if a late return is likely, tell us at the quotation stage and we will show that cost in the quote rather than adding it afterwards. Garage-to-garage billing is the standard commercial basis for coach hire, and we state it plainly up front.

•     Share your travel date and your Bangalore pickup location by area, building or landmark - Electronic City, Whitefield, MG Road, Koramangala and similar.

•     Share your destination or full itinerary, your group size, and your preferred mini bus tier: Standard AC, Executive Mini Coach or Luxury.

•     For corporate bookings from Bangalore tech parks, share your GST number and preferred invoicing format.

•     For Tirupati, Srisailam and other multi-day outstation hire, share the full day-wise itinerary so we can allocate a driver with route experience.

Step 2 - Receive Your Written Quote

•     Within two hours of your enquiry, Tejas Travels sends a written quote by WhatsApp or email.

•     The quote itemizes every charge: mini bus hire rate in rupees per kilometre or as a flat package, driver allowance of Rs 500 to Rs 800 per day depending on vehicle, applicable toll estimates including the Alipiri ghat toll, interstate permit, and GST.

•     Interstate permits apply for Andhra Pradesh on the Tirupati and Srisailam routes, Tamil Nadu for Chennai, Pondicherry and Ooty, Kerala for Wayanad, and Goa.

•     Request comparison quotes for Standard versus Executive Mini Coach at the same time if you want to weigh both.

Step 3 - Confirm Your Booking and Pay the Advance

•     Review the written quote and confirm by WhatsApp or phone.

•     A 20 percent advance payment confirms the booking and guarantees the specific mini bus variant on your date.

•     Payment options: UPI through Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm; NEFT, IMPS or RTGS bank transfer; or credit and debit card through a payment link.

•     Advance receipt is issued within 30 minutes.

•     Your confirmation includes driver name and mobile number, vehicle registration number, departure time, pickup location confirmation and the full billing breakdown - all sent by WhatsApp or email in writing.

•     For Brahmotsavam, Vaikunta Ekadasi, New Year, Diwali, Ugadi and long weekends, book well ahead - these are the heaviest pilgrim dates of the year.

•     Your assigned Tejas Travels driver arrives at the confirmed Bangalore pickup point 15 minutes before scheduled departure.

•     The mini bus will be clean, sanitized, fuelled and ready.

•     Any additional kilometres or hours are billed at the pre-agreed rate.

Very well maintained vehicles, polite and cooperative staff, excellent service, worth recommending. We used their mini bus for 8 days. Our driver Nutan and our point of contact Laxmi were super supportive.

Frequently Asked Questions — Bangalore to Tirupati Minibus

The bangalore to tirupati distance is 250 km to Tirupati town via NH 75 and NH 69 through Hoskote, Kolar, Mulbagal, Palamaner and Chittoor, and a minibus covers it in 4 hours 30 minutes to 5 hours 30 minutes with one breakfast halt. Tirumala hill is a further 18 km up the ghat road, which takes a minimum of about 40 minutes because TTD enforces a minimum journey time. Total door-to-temple time is 5 hours 30 minutes to 6 hours 30 minutes.

It depends on the vehicle size. TTD restricts larger vehicles on the ghat road - smaller vehicles such as cars, tempo travellers and small minibuses are generally permitted to drive up, while large private buses and coaches are typically directed to park at Alipiri, with pilgrims transferring to the APSRTC ghat bus service. The exact threshold is set by TTD and is revised from time to time, so we confirm the current position for your specific vehicle and travel date before you book. If driving to the top matters to your group, say so at enquiry and we will recommend the vehicle accordingly, which may mean two smaller vehicles instead of one large one.

No, and we would treat any operator who says otherwise with caution. Darshan is administered entirely by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams through their own channels - free Sarva Darshan queues, paid Special Entry Darshan slots and various sponsored options - and no transport operator can guarantee a slot. What we do is build the vehicle timing around whatever darshan slot you obtain, including pre-dawn departures and long waits outside the queue complex, and our drivers know the Tirumala parking and pickup arrangements well.

The ghat road closes to four-wheelers for a window in the small hours, with published opening commonly cited in the region of 3:00 AM to 4:00 AM and closing between 10:30 PM and midnight. Reported timings differ between sources and TTD adjusts them for maintenance, festivals and weather, so treat any figure as indicative and confirm close to your travel date. Our drivers check the current position before departure on every Tirumala booking so your group is not turned back at Alipiri.

A 14 seater AC minibus starts at Rs 16,600. Every quote itemizes base fare, driver allowance, toll estimates including the Alipiri ghat toll, interstate permit and GST separately, and is sent in writing within two hours. Per-head cost falls sharply as the vehicle fills, so give us your exact headcount.

A 20 percent advance on the total fare confirms your booking and holds the specific vehicle for your date. The advance receipt is issued within 30 minutes, and your confirmation includes driver name, mobile number, vehicle registration, departure time and the full billing breakdown in writing. For Brahmotsavam, Vaikunta Ekadasi and other peak festival dates, a higher advance may be requested.

Included: base fare, fuel charges and driver allowance. Not included: toll and parking, interstate tax and permit charges, driver bata after 9:45 PM, and GST. Darshan tickets, TTD accommodation and any seva or pooja fees are entirely outside the vehicle fare. The final rental is calculated on total kilometres and hours from our garage to garage. Every exclusion appears in the written quote before you confirm - and on this route in particular, check the late-return clause, because same-day darshan trips often finish after 9:45 PM.

No. Tejas Tours and Travels does not cover passenger insurance. Our vehicles carry the statutory motor insurance required under law and our drivers hold valid commercial licences, but passengers wanting personal travel cover should arrange it independently. We particularly recommend this for large community and temple-committee groups, where a group travel policy is usually inexpensive and simple to obtain.

Yes, and these are the three additions we schedule most often. Tiruchanur is five kilometres from Tirupati town and adds under an hour, which is why almost every itinerary includes it. Kanipakam sits near Chittoor directly on the homeward route and costs a detour of well under an hour, making it the most efficient addition available. Srikalahasti is 36 km east of Tirupati and needs half a day, or a full morning if your group is performing the Rahu Ketu pooja. Tell us at the quotation stage so the plan includes the time; extra kilometres and hours beyond the agreed plan are billed at the pre-agreed rate.

Non-vegetarian food, alcohol, tobacco products and flammable items are not permitted on Tirumala, and every vehicle passes a security check at the Alipiri gate where luggage may be scanned. Sort this before departure rather than at the checkpoint, and brief the whole group rather than assuming everyone knows. Reports also indicate that very old vehicles may be refused on the ghat road; our fleet is maintained and documented so this does not become your problem at the gate.
