Cancellation Policy — Mini Bus Hire in Bangalore
Tejas Travels maintains a fair, transparent and tiered cancellation policy. All terms are communicated in writing at booking confirmation, with no hidden conditions.
• More than 72 hours before departure. No cancellation charge. 100 percent of the advance is refunded within 5 to 7 working days.
• 48 to 72 hours before departure. Cancellation charge of 10 percent of the total trip fare. Advance refunded less the 10 percent deduction.
• 24 to 48 hours before departure. Cancellation charge of 25 percent of the total trip fare. Advance refunded less the 25 percent deduction.
• 12 to 24 hours before departure. Cancellation charge of 50 percent of the total trip fare. Advance refunded less the 50 percent deduction.
• Less than 12 hours before departure. Cancellation charge of 75 percent of the total trip fare. Minimal or no refund depending on trip value.
• No-show, where the bus is deployed and the group is absent. Charge of 100 percent of the total trip fare. No refund, and the full fare is payable.
• Cancellation by Tejas Travels, for breakdown or force majeure. No charge. 100 percent refunded within 2 working days, or an alternate vehicle is offered.
Special Cancellation Conditions for Bangalore Mini Bus Hire
• Ooty and multi-day outstation hire. Minimum 7-day notice for a full refund on overnight and multi-day mini bus hire from Bangalore.
• Weddings. Minimum 7-day notice for a full refund. Cancellations within 3 days of the wedding date are non-refundable.
• Peak dates. New Year, Diwali, October Dasara and Bangalore long weekends require a minimum 48-hour notice for a full refund.
• Corporate contracts. Monthly corporate commute contract terms govern. Modifications with 48-hour notice are accommodated subject to route availability.
• Force majeure. Bangalore bandhs, road closures, forest route closures and other force majeure events attract a 100 percent refund within 2 working days regardless of notice period.
• Modifications. Date changes, vehicle upgrades and route additions with more than 24 hours notice are accommodated at no penalty, subject to availability.

Refund Policy — Mini Bus for Rent in Bangalore
All refunds are processed to the original payment instrument. No cash refund is issued unless the advance was paid in cash.

Frequently Asked Questions — Bangalore to Ooty Cab
Plan for 7 to 8 hours covering roughly 300 kilometres via the Gudalur route, including a breakfast halt at Maddur, a main halt at Mysore and a short stop at Gundlupet. A cab on the shorter Masinagudi route can do it in 6 to 6.5 hours, but that road is unsuitable for mini coaches. If your schedule is tight, a 5:30 AM departure is the single most effective adjustment you can make.
The Masinagudi climb has thirty-six hairpin bends on a steep, narrow gradient that mini coaches cannot negotiate safely. The Gudalur route via Naduvattam is about thirty kilometres longer but wider, better graded and used by all commercial group vehicles. This is a safety decision, not a preference.
The forest stretch through Bandipur and Mudumalai is closed to all vehicles from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM to protect wildlife movement, with no exemption for tourist coaches. If your itinerary would put the vehicle at the gate after 9:00 PM, the usual solution is an earlier departure or an overnight halt at Gundlupet. We flag this at quotation stage so it never becomes a surprise on the road.
Book one seat category above your headcount so luggage and legroom stay comfortable on a seven-hour drive. Eleven or twelve people suit a 13 or 17 seater, fifteen to eighteen a 20 seater, and twenty to twenty-four a 26 seater. Above twenty-eight, choose a 32 seater or a full-size bus. For the narrower Emerald and Avalanche roads, a 17 or 20 seater is more practical.
Twenty percent of the total fare confirms the booking and locks the specific vehicle for your date. The balance is settled at the end of the trip after the advance is deducted. Advance is accepted by UPI, NEFT, IMPS, RTGS or card payment link, and a receipt is issued within 30 minutes.
The quoted fare includes the base fare with fuel charges and the driver allowance. Charged separately are toll and parking, interstate tax, driver bata after 9:45 PM, and GST. Final rental is calculated on total kilometres and hours from our garage to garage. Every one of these lines appears on your written quote before you pay any advance.
No. Interstate tax and permit charges are excluded from the base fare and billed separately. The route crosses the Karnataka to Tamil Nadu border at Bandipur, so this applies to every trip without exception. We estimate the amount on the written quote so you know the figure before you reach the checkpost.
Tejas Tours and Travels does not cover passengers insurance by the company. Our vehicles carry the statutory commercial vehicle insurance required by law and all drivers hold valid commercial licences with route experience. Passengers wanting personal travel cover should arrange their own policy, which is worth considering for a multi-day hill route.
Cancellation more than 72 hours before departure carries no charge and the full advance is refunded within 5 to 7 working days. Between 48 and 72 hours the charge is 10 percent, 24 to 48 hours is 25 percent, 12 to 24 hours is 50 percent, and under 12 hours is 75 percent. For Ooty, as a multi-day outstation booking, we ask for 7 days notice for a full refund. If we cancel, you get 100 percent back within 2 working days or an alternate vehicle.
March to June is peak season with the Flower Show in May; September to November offers clear weather and much lighter crowds. July and August bring heavy rain, ghat fog and occasional landslide closures, so we advise against them for large groups. Book three to four weeks ahead for April to June travel and long weekends, since mini coach availability tightens quickly. Off-peak weekday bookings can usually be confirmed with a week of notice.
