Cancellation Policy
The cancellation policy is tiered, fair and transparent, and every term is confirmed to you in writing at the time of booking.
Cancel more than 72 hours before departure and there is no charge at all. The full advance is refunded within 5 to 7 working days.
Cancel between 48 and 72 hours before departure and a charge of 10 percent of the total trip fare applies, with the advance refunded less that deduction.
Cancel between 24 and 48 hours before departure and the charge is 25 percent of the total trip fare, with the advance refunded less that deduction.
Cancel between 12 and 24 hours before departure and the charge rises to 50 percent of the total trip fare, with the advance refunded less that deduction.
Cancel less than 12 hours before departure and the charge is 75 percent of the total trip fare. Any refund is minimal or nil depending on the trip value.
In the case of a no-show, where the vehicle has been deployed and the client is absent, the full trip fare is payable and no refund is due.
If Tejas Travels cancels, whether through a breakdown or force majeure, there is no charge whatsoever. You are refunded in full within 2 working days, or offered a substitute vehicle.
Special Cancellation Conditions
● Weddings: minimum 7 days' notice for a full refund. Cancellations within 3 days of the wedding date are non-refundable.

● Peak dates: New Year, Diwali and Bangalore long weekends require a minimum of 48 hours' notice for a full refund. Under 24 hours is non-refundable.
● Force majeure: Bangalore bandhs, traffic disruptions and road closures attract a 100 percent refund within 2 working days, regardless of the notice period.
● Modifications: date changes, vehicle upgrades and route additions made more than 24 hours ahead are accommodated at no penalty, subject to availability.

Refund Policy

The bangalore to udupi distance is approximately 405 km via NH 75, the Shiradi Ghat and Mangalore, or 380 km via the Charmadi Ghat and Karkala. A private bus covers it in 8 to 9 hours including two halts and the ghat descent. The Charmadi line is shorter in kilometres but narrower, so it is chosen based on vehicle size and season rather than distance alone.

Boat services from Malpe are suspended entirely during the monsoon, roughly June to September, and even in season they depend on daily sea conditions. Fares are paid on site. Yes, with sensible planning. The carriageway has been concrete-paved to withstand the very heavy rainfall this section receives, which has made it considerably more reliable than it once was. Heavy monsoon rain can still reduce visibility and cause slow running, and landslips occasionally affect the ghats. Our drivers are experienced on both Shiradi and Charmadi and choose the line based on conditions on the day. Groups travelling in June and July should build extra time into the schedule.
