Sri Venkateswara Temple, Tirumala

Sri Venkateswara Temple, Tirumala

The reason everyone comes. Standing at 853 metres on the seventh hill of the Seshachalam range, the temple to Lord Venkateswara draws tens of thousands of pilgrims every single day, rising past a hundred thousand on Brahmotsavam days. The Ananda Nilayam Vimanam above the sanctum is covered in gold, and the queue complexes, laddu counters and free annadanam halls around it operate at a scale that is difficult to picture until you see it. Darshan is arranged only through TTD — Sarva Darshan, Special Entry Darshan and various sevas each have their own booking route and timing. Our role ends at getting your group to the hill and waiting for them; the darshan slot is yours to book directly with TTD.

Chandragiri Fort

Chandragiri Fort

Fifteen kilometres west of Tirupati, Chandragiri was the fourth capital of the Vijayanagara Empire and the place where the English East India Company was granted the land that became Madras. The Raja Mahal and Rani Mahal, built in Indo-Saracenic style with lime mortar and no timber at all, still stand in good condition, and the archaeological museum inside the Raja Mahal holds Vijayanagara-era sculpture, weapons and coins. An evening sound and light show runs on most days. For school and college groups from Bangalore, this converts a purely devotional trip into something with genuine historical content, and it fits neatly into the afternoon after a morning darshan.

Sri Venkateswara National Park

Sri Venkateswara National Park

Spanning 353 square kilometres in the Eastern Ghats, Sri Venkateswara National Park is a designated biosphere reserve and a paradise for wildlife and nature lovers. The park is home to over 175 species of birds, including the Indian grey hornbill and the white-rumped vulture. Mammals such as leopards, sloth bears, and Indian pangolins inhabit the dense forests. Talakona Waterfall, the highest waterfall in Andhra Pradesh at 270 feet, is situated within the park boundaries and is one of the most photographed natural sites in the region. The forest department organises guided trekking trails inside the park, and the experience of walking through ancient Gondwana forests at dawn is unmatched. Families with children will find the park particularly engaging.

Kapila Theertham

Kapila Theertham

Kapila Theertham is a scenic waterfall temple complex situated at the foot of the Tirumala Hills and dedicated to Lord Shiva in his form as Kapileswara. The waterfall flows directly into the temple complex, creating a unique and spiritually charged environment where devotees can bathe in the holy waters. The surrounding dense forest of the Tirumala Hills provides a cool, refreshing backdrop, making this one of the most serene sightseeing places in Tirupati. The temple is associated with the sage Kapila Muni and is believed to be one of the 108 Divya Desams. The sound of flowing water combined with the fragrance of temple flowers and incense creates an atmosphere unlike any other religious site in the region.

Silathoranam - Natural Stone Arch

Silathoranam - Natural Stone Arch

Silathoranam is one of the rarest natural geological wonders on Earth — a natural rock arch formed over 1.5 billion years ago during the pre-Cambrian era. Located near the Tirumala temple complex, this formation is 8 metres wide and 3 metres high and bears a striking resemblance to the hood of a serpent along with sacred symbols of a conch and discus. Geologists regard Silathoranam as one of only three known natural arches of its kind in the world. Religious belief holds that this rock arch was the original source of the deity at the Venkateswara Temple. Visiting at sunrise or sunset enhances the visual impact of the arch, which glows golden against the Eastern Ghats skyline.

Papavinasanam Dam

Papavinasanam Dam

Papavinasanam Dam is a reservoir situated deep inside the Tirumala Hills at an altitude of approximately 853 metres above sea level. The name translates to "the destroyer of sins," and pilgrims believe that bathing in these waters cleanses them of past misdeeds. The reservoir is fed by natural springs enriched with medicinal herbs, and the water quality is remarkably clean. The surrounding landscape of lush forest and rocky hillsides makes Papavinasanam a favourite picnic spot for families visiting Tirupati. The walk from the Tirumala bus stand to the dam passes through shaded forest paths and is a refreshing way to spend a morning. Photography enthusiasts will find the reflection of the hills on the still water surface particularly rewarding.

ISKCON Temple, Tirupati

ISKCON Temple, Tirupati

The ISKCON temple in Tirupati, dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha, is a vibrant spiritual and cultural centre that welcomes devotees and tourists alike. The temple complex is beautifully constructed in a blend of Dravidian and North Indian architectural styles and is maintained to an exceptionally high standard. The daily aarti ceremonies, bhajan sessions, and prasadam distribution make a visit here a deeply fulfilling experience. The temple also runs educational programmes and an organic farm. Located within the main town area, the ISKCON temple provides a calm counterpoint to the bustle of the Tirumala pilgrimage and is especially popular with families who visit Tirupati with young children.

TTD Gardens

TTD Gardens

The TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) Gardens are a group of beautifully maintained ornamental, flower, and landscape gardens spread across approximately 460 acres on the Tirumala Hills. These gardens supply nearly 500 kilograms of flowers to the temples in and around Tirupati every single day. Visitors can walk through rose gardens, herbal sections, and topiary displays that are meticulously maintained by the TTD horticulture department. The gardens offer a peaceful respite from the crowds near the main temple and are ideal for a quiet walk at dawn or dusk. Believed to have been started by the legendary Vaishnava saints Sri Ramanuja and Sri Anandalwar, the gardens carry both botanical and historical significance.

Bangalore to Tirupati Bus Packages

Every group prices differently, so instead of a fixed rate card we build the charter around what the group actually needs. These four structures cover the vast majority of bus hire bangalore enquiries on this route.

Family and Yatra Package

The most common booking on this corridor, built for extended families, apartment associations and temple committees travelling with a wide age range. The emphasis is on comfort during an overnight run and patience on the ground: a 21 or 27-seater mini bus with generous luggage space, extra halt time built into the schedule, and a driver briefed to wait without pressure while the group is in the darshan queue, which can run several hours longer than planned. Luggage carriers, a first-aid kit and a cold water box come standard. If your group is under twelve people, a bangalore to tirupati tempo traveller often works out more economical than a bus, and our team will say so at quotation stage rather than upselling.

Corporate Package

For office groups, employee welfare trips and company-sponsored yatras from Bangalore's IT corridors. Includes multiple pickup points across Whitefield, Electronic City, Manyata and Outer Ring Road so employees are not forced to converge on one location at ten at night, GST-compliant invoicing against your purchase order, a Proforma Invoice at quotation stage for internal approval, and one point of contact through the trip. Vehicles are Executive or Volvo class with pushback seats, working AC and charging points, which makes a real difference on an overnight run where people are trying to sleep. Companies running these trips annually can open a 30-day corporate credit account. Related service: corporate travels bangalore.

Budget Package

For college groups, friend circles, neighbourhood associations and community yatras where cost per head decides everything. Standard AC bus, straightforward one-day itinerary, minimal halts, and transparent per-kilometre billing with no hidden loading. On a 40-seater running a same-day Tirupati trip, the per-head transport cost typically lands well below what the same group would spend on individual bus tickets plus local autos between the town and the hill. Institutions requiring escort staff, seat belts on every seat and verified driver credentials are handled through our school excursion bus rental bangalore desk, which maintains the documentation that college and school bookings require.

Luxury Package

Volvo and BharatBenz multi-axle coaches with air suspension, reclining pushback seats, individual reading lights, curtains and noticeably lower cabin noise — which matters more on this route than on any other we run, because the outbound leg is overnight and passengers are trying to sleep before a physically demanding day. This is also the class we recommend for senior citizens, wedding-related family yatras and corporate groups where the vehicle reflects on the host. Explore the full volvo bus rental bangalore fleet, or see wedding bus rental Bangalore for combined car and coach movement.

Our Services — Available from Bangalore, Mysore and Across South India

Tejas Tours and Travels runs a full ground transport fleet rather than a single vehicle category, which means a group can move between vehicle classes as the requirement changes without changing vendors. Every service below is available from both Bangalore and Mysore, and several can be combined on one Tirupati itinerary — a coach for the main group and a car for elderly family members, for instance.

Cab and Car Rental

Sedans, SUVs and premium cars for small groups and executive movement. If your Tirupati party is four to six people, a car is the better call — see premium car rentals in bangalore for the full range, the bangalore to tirupati cab route page for this specific corridor, or the innova hycross rent bangalore page for the seven-seater that families ask for most on the ghat road.

Tempo Traveller and Mini Bus

The middle ground between a car and a full coach, and the sweet spot for Tirumala because a smaller vehicle handles the ghat hairpins and the Tirumala parking bays more easily. A 12 to 17-seater luxury tempo traveller bangalore suits groups of ten to sixteen, while a 21 to 32-seater mini bus for rent in bangalore covers the size band where a full bus would run half empty.

Bus and Luxury Coach

Standard, Executive, Volvo and BharatBenz coaches from 27 to 49 seats for large group movement. See bus rental in bangalore for the complete fleet, or the luxury urbania rental bangalore page for the 13 to 17-seater Force Urbania, which has become the preferred premium option for smaller yatra groups on ghat routes.

Corporate, Airport and Employee Transport

Beyond one-off charters we run contracted daily operations for Bangalore companies — employee transportation services bangalore with night shift coverage and route optimisation, airport transfer bangalore with live flight tracking for Kempegowda International Airport pickups, and corporate car rental bangalore accounts with monthly billing.

School Commute, Outstation and Wedding Travel

Institutional and occasion-based transport completes the fleet: school transportation services with verified drivers and tracking, outstation cabs bangalore for multi-day trips across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Goa, and wedding car rental bangalore for decorated cars and guest coaches. Custom tour packages combining several of these services can be built for any South India temple circuit.

Frequently Asked Questions — Bangalore to Tirupati Bus

The bangalore to tirupati distance is approximately 250 km via NH 75 and NH 71 through Kolar, Mulbagal, Palamaner and Chittoor. A private bus covers it in 4 hours 30 minutes to 5 hours 30 minutes, plus roughly another hour for the 22 km ghat climb from Alipiri to Tirumala. Most groups leave Bangalore around 11 PM and reach Tirupati town between 4 and 5 in the morning.

A 29-seater bus same-day round trip starts from around Rs 19,700. The final figure depends on vehicle class, number of days and total kilometres run. Since billing is garage to garage on actual kilometres and hours, we issue a written itemised quote within 2 hours rather than a verbal estimate.

No. Darshan tickets, sevas, accommodation and laddu counters at Tirumala are administered solely by TTD through its official booking channels, and any operator claiming otherwise should be treated with caution. Tejas Tours and Travels provides transport only. We will, however, plan your departure time around the darshan slot you have booked so the group reaches with time in hand.

The quoted fare includes base fare, fuel charges and driver allowance. Charged separately are toll and parking including the Alipiri ghat toll and Tirumala parking, inter-state tax and Andhra Pradesh permit, driver bata for travel after 9:45 PM, and GST. The final rental is calculated on total kilometres and hours from our garage to garage. Passenger insurance is not covered by Tejas Tours and Travels.

Because of how this route is travelled. Driver bata is charged extra for travel after 9:45 PM, and the standard Tirupati itinerary involves a late-night departure from Bangalore and often a late-evening return. We flag this in the written quote upfront rather than adding it at the end, so the amount you approve is the amount you settle.

A 20 percent advance of the total fare confirms the booking and blocks the specific vehicle for your date. The balance is settled at trip end after the final kilometre and hour calculation. Advance can be paid by UPI, NEFT, IMPS, RTGS or card payment link, and the receipt is issued within 30 minutes.

Yes. Every vehicle registers at the Alipiri toll gate before the climb, and heavy vehicles ascend by the first ghat road and descend by the second as per the one-way system. We allocate drivers experienced on the hairpin section, and the bus parks in the designated bays at Tirumala while your group is at darshan. Groups who wish to walk the 3,550-step footpath from Alipiri can do so while the bus carries luggage and elderly members up by road.

Yes, and it is how the majority of our bookings on this route run — depart Bangalore at night, darshan in the morning, return to Bangalore by evening. The variable is the darshan queue, which can run several hours longer than expected on weekends and festival days. Our drivers are briefed to wait rather than pressure the group, but if your group prefers not to be watching the clock, an overnight halt in Tirupati is the more comfortable option.

Standard AC buses, Executive coaches, Volvo and BharatBenz multi-axle luxury coaches from 27 to 49 seats, plus 21 to 32-seater mini buses and 12 to 17-seater tempo travellers. For the Tirumala ghat road specifically, mini buses and tempo travellers handle the hairpins and parking bays more easily than a 45-seater, and we will recommend accordingly based on your group size.

Cancellation more than 7 days before departure carries no charge and a full advance refund within 5 to 7 working days. Charges then step up through 10 percent, 25 percent, 50 percent and 75 percent as departure approaches, with no-show billed at full fare. If Tejas Travels cancels for operational reasons, or if the ghat road closes, a full refund is processed within 2 working days or an alternate bus is offered.
