From Bannerghatta the road runs east through farmland and small villages to Jigani, one of the major industrial areas south of the city. The Jigani industrial belt houses engineering, granite processing and pharmaceutical units, and you will pass factories and busy truck yards before the landscape turns rural again. The contrast is striking: industrial estates one minute and coconut trees, ragi fields and grazing cattle the next. Jigani is also a convenient point to refuel or grab tea, since the smaller villages ahead have fewer facilities. The road beyond Jigani is narrower but generally in good condition, with light traffic on weekday mornings.
