Souparnika River Bank

Kollur Mookambika Temple
About 40 kilometres inland at the foot of the Kodachadri hills, this is one of the seven great pilgrimage centres of coastal Karnataka, dedicated to Goddess Mookambika and closely associated with Adi Shankaracharya. Pilgrims from Kerala and Tamil Nadu visit in large numbers, especially during Navaratri. Trasi and Gangolli
Trasi Beach continues south of Maravanthe and is where most of the small eateries and resorts sit. Nearby Gangolli is a working fishing port at the mouth of the Panchagangavali, where you can watch the boats come in at dawn and, with local arrangements, even join fishermen on a short trip.
Udupi Sri Krishna Temple and Malpe
Udupi, about 55 kilometres south, is home to the Sri Krishna Math founded by Madhvacharya, where devotees view the deity through the famous Kanakana Kindi window. Six kilometres away, Malpe Beach is the departure point for St. Mary's Island with its hexagonal basalt columns.
