About 10 kilometres from Kushalnagar, the Harangi reservoir on a tributary of the Kaveri is surrounded by forest and gardens, and it is especially attractive after the monsoon. The area around Harangi also has an elephant camp, making it a good addition for wildlife lovers.
Chiklihole Reservoir
Close to the Dubare forest, Chiklihole is a small, quiet reservoir with a curved dam wall and forest all around. It sees far fewer visitors than the main sights and is ideal for a peaceful break and photographs, particularly in the early morning or late afternoon.
Madikeri Fort
About 35 kilometres from Kushalnagar, Madikeri Fort stands at the heart of Coorg's main town. First built in the 17th century by the Kodagu ruler Mudduraja, it was rebuilt in stone under Tipu Sultan and later renovated by the Kodagu kings. The fort holds the old palace, two life-size stone elephant statues and a museum in the former church inside its walls, with exhibits on Kodagu's history and culture.
Raja's Seat and Abbey Falls
In Madikeri, Raja's Seat is a garden viewpoint where the Kodagu kings are said to have enjoyed the sunset over rolling hills and valleys. Special Cancellation Conditions for Bangalore Car Hire
- Weddings: Bangalore wedding hire: Minimum 7-day notice for full refund. Cancellations within 3 days of wedding date are non-refundable.
- Luxury Cars: Luxury vehicles (Rolls-Royce, BMW 7 Series, Mercedes S-Class): Minimum 5-day notice for full refund due to limited Bangalore fleet and wedding season demand.
- Peak Dates: New Year, Diwali, and Bangalore long-weekends: Minimum 48-hour notice for full refund. Less than 24 hours is non-refundable.
- Force Majeure: Bangalore bandhs / force majeure (traffic disruptions, road closures): 100% refund within 2 working days regardless of notice period.
- Modifications: Modifications (date change, vehicle upgrade, route additions) with more than 24 hours notice: Accommodated at no penalty, subject to availability.
