Amruthapura Amriteshwara Temple and Ayyanakere
Near Tarikere, the Hoysala-era Amriteshwara Temple at Amruthapura, built in 1196, is known for its fine lathe-turned pillars and carved friezes. On the Chikmagalur side, Ayyanakere is one of the oldest man-made lakes in Karnataka, set against the Shakunagiri hill.
