Anthargange Caves and Trek
Behind the temple, a steep trail climbs through huge granite boulders stacked into natural caves and tunnels. The route is about three kilometres and moderately demanding, and some passages mean crawling or squeezing between rocks. Kolaramma Temple

Someshwara Temple
A short drive from Kolaramma, the Someshwara Temple is a fine example of fourteenth-century Vijayanagara art, with carved pillars, a large kalyana mandapa and a tall entrance tower. It is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India and is a must for anyone interested in temple architecture.
Kotilingeshwara Temple
At Kammasandra, about 30 kilometres from Kolar, the kotilingeshwara temple is famous for its giant 108-foot linga and 35-foot Nandi, surrounded by lakhs of smaller lingas installed by devotees.
