Places to Visit in Hyderabad

Charminar
Built in 1591 by Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah, Charminar is the defining symbol of Hyderabad and one of the most photographed monuments in South India. The four grand arches and minarets rise above a bustling square surrounded by the historic Laad Bazaar, famous for bangles, pearls and perfumes, along with the nearby Mecca Masjid. Visitors can climb a narrow staircase inside for a rooftop view over the old city, and the monument is particularly striking when lit up in the evening. No trip to Hyderabad is considered complete without a visit here, and it pairs naturally with a walk through the surrounding markets.

Bangalore
Departure Point
Your journey to Ooty begins from Bangalore, the gateway to South India's most beloved hill stations. Pick-up is available from any part of the city — Koramangala, Electronic City, Whitefield, Hebbal, Yeshwanthpur, Marathahalli, or Majestic. The most common route out of Bangalore takes you onto NH275, the six-lane Mysore Expressway, which is one of the smoothest and best-maintained national highways in Karnataka. An early departure between 5 AM and 6 AM is strongly advised to clear Bangalore city limits before peak traffic begins. The first 50 km on the expressway are fast, comfortable, and lightly trafficked in the early hours, setting a pleasant tone for the journey ahead. Our drivers are experienced in choosing the optimal departure window and route based on real-time traffic conditions, ensuring that the first stretch of your Bangalore to Ooty road trip is efficient, calm, and enjoyable from the very first kilometre.

Devanahalli
Historic fort and Tipu Sultan's birthplace
Devanahalli, close to Kempegowda International Airport, is a historic fort town and the birthplace of Tipu Sultan, with a well preserved granite fort still standing near the town centre. Since this stretch overlaps with the airport road, it can see moderate traffic depending on the time of day, but it clears up quickly once the route joins the main highway towards Chikballapur.

Chikballapur
Gateway to Nandi Hills
Chikballapur, best known as the base town for Nandi Hills, one of the most popular weekend getaways near Bangalore, marks an early and easy stretch of this long drive. The town itself offers a few good breakfast stops, and travellers with extra time sometimes combine a short Nandi Hills detour with the start of their Hyderabad trip.

Anantapur
Groundnut belt and gateway to Puttaparthi
Anantapur, roughly halfway through the journey, sits in one of Andhra Pradesh's major groundnut cultivation belts and also serves as the gateway town to Puttaparthi, the birthplace of Sri Sathya Sai Baba and a significant pilgrimage destination. This stretch marks a natural halfway point for a longer break, fuel stop and proper meal before continuing north.
Gooty
Gooty Fort on a rocky hill
Gooty, a short distance past Anantapur, is home to Gooty Fort, a historic hill fort perched atop a striking granite outcrop that was once considered nearly impregnable. While most cab travellers do not stop for a detailed visit given the time constraints of a long highway drive, the fort is visible from parts of the highway and adds a scenic landmark to this stretch.

Kurnool
Kurnool - Gateway to Telangana
Kurnool, situated at the confluence of the Tungabhadra and Krishna rivers, is one of the larger cities on this route and a natural stopping point for a proper meal, fuel and rest before the final stretch into Telangana. Historically an important trade and administrative centre, the city offers plenty of well reviewed highway restaurants, making it a popular midway halt for those choosing to split the journey across two days.

Mahbubnagar
Granite town of Telangana
Mahbubnagar, one of the last major towns before reaching Hyderabad, is known for its granite quarrying industry and agricultural trade. The highway here begins to show clear signs of approaching a major metro, with increasing traffic density and industrial development lining the route towards Shamshabad.

Shamshabad
Airport town on Hyderabad's outskirts
Shamshabad, home to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, marks the final approach into Hyderabad and is a useful landmark for travellers being dropped directly at the airport rather than continuing into the city centre. From here, the drive into central Hyderabad typically takes another thirty to forty five minutes depending on traffic.

Hyderabad
Destination - City of Pearls
The final stretch into Hyderabad passes through the city's southern and western outskirts before reaching the main areas around Charminar, Banjara Hills or Hitech City, depending on your destination. Depending on your itinerary, your driver can drop you directly at your hotel, office or a sightseeing point, keeping in mind that traffic near the old city and IT corridor can be heavy during peak hours. From here, your visit to Hyderabad's forts, palaces and modern attractions can begin.

Force Urbania Packages for Bangalore to Hyderabad
Three packages cover almost every hyderabad tour package from bangalore enquiry we receive. Each is quoted on the same garage to garage basis, each includes both interstate permits as stated line items, and each can be adjusted.
Corporate and Business Travel Package
Built for teams moving between the two technology capitals, which is the most common commercial use of this route. Twelve to sixteen seater Urbania, GST invoice, proforma invoice at quote stage for purchase order approval, GPS tracking visible to the travel desk for the full run, and both permits handled centrally so nothing lands on the travel desk at a state border. For teams travelling to Gachibowli or HITEC City the ORR approach saves substantial time and is planned in advance rather than decided on the road. Consolidated monthly invoicing is available for registered corporate accounts, and repeat bookers can move onto thirty day credit terms. See our corporate travels bangalore page for account setup.
Wedding and Family Travel Package
This corridor carries a very large volume of wedding traffic in both directions, and it is the use case the Urbania suits best. Sixteen seats, a boot that takes wedding luggage and gift boxes without anything on the seats, and a chauffeur in formal attire where the vehicle is going directly to a venue. For families travelling with elderly members the full recliner seating over nine hours is the entire point. We can hold the vehicle in Hyderabad for the duration of the functions and run local transfers between venue and hotel rather than releasing it, which is almost always cheaper than booking local vehicles at short notice during wedding season. See wedding car rental bangalore for convoy requirements.
Luxury and Heritage Package
The top tier of urbania on rent bangalore hire for this route. The newest vehicle in the fleet, an eight or nine seater in the one by one captain layout so every passenger has an individual window seat across a nine hour day, a chauffeur in formal attire, and an itinerary that treats the drive as part of the trip rather than an obstacle: a proper stop at Lepakshi outbound, Penukonda if there is appetite for it, and three days in Hyderabad covering the Qutb Shahi and Asaf Jahi circuits without rushing. Suits visiting guests, milestone trips and anyone who would rather see the Deccan than overfly it. Airport pickup on the outbound morning can be added.
Billing Details for Your Bangalore to Hyderabad Urbania Hire
Tejas Travels quotes every booking in writing before you commit, and the billing structure below appears on that quote in exactly these terms. Twenty per cent of the total fare is payable in advance to confirm the booking and guarantee the specific Urbania variant on your travel date. The balance is settled at trip end.
Included in the quoted fare:
● Base fare and fuel charges
● Driver allowance
Excluded from the quoted fare and billed separately at actuals:
● Toll and parking charges
● Interstate tax, where the itinerary crosses a state border
● Additional driver bata after 9:45 pm
● Final rental is calculated on total kilometres and hours from our garage to garage
● GST
Tejas Tours and Travels does not provide passenger insurance cover as part of the booking. Passengers who want travel insurance should arrange it independently before the trip.
Three notes that matter more on this route than on any other. First, interstate tax is charged twice here, because the itinerary crosses into Andhra Pradesh and then into Telangana, and both permits are arranged by us and shown as stated amounts on your quote. Second, on one way drops, understand how the pricing works before you compare quotes: garage to garage means the vehicle's return run is part of the calculation, because it has to come back whether you are in it or not. Every honest operator prices a one way drop close to a return basis, and any quote that appears to charge only for the outbound leg has either built the return in elsewhere or will revise it later. Third, groups searching urbania per km rate bangalore should confirm the permit position before comparing any two numbers on this corridor.

How to Book a Force Urbania from Bangalore to Hyderabad
Booking takes under five minutes. Follow these four steps.
Step 1 - Contact Tejas Travels
● Call or WhatsApp +91 9980277773, or email info@tejastravels.com. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
● Share your travel date, Bangalore pickup location by area or landmark, such as Whitefield, Electronic City, MG Road, Koramangala, the airport, a hotel name or a tech park.
● Share your destination or full itinerary, the number of passengers, and your preferred Urbania variant from the 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15 and 16 seater range.
● For airport pickups, share the flight number. The driver tracks live flight status and adjusts pickup timing for delayed flights automatically.
● For corporate, wedding or VIP bookings, mention the occasion so the team can allocate the best condition vehicle and arrange formal chauffeur attire where required.
● For Hyderabad specifically, tell us your destination area, whether Gachibowli and HITEC City or the old city and centre, since the ORR and the city approaches diverge well before arrival. Say also whether you want a one way drop or a return.
Step 2 - Receive your written quote
● A written quote reaches you by WhatsApp or email within 2 hours of your enquiry.
● The quote itemises every charge: vehicle hire rate in rupees per kilometre or as a flat package, driver allowance, toll estimate, and both the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana interstate permits, which apply on this route.
● For one way drops the quote will show how the return run is accounted for, so there is no ambiguity about what you are paying for.
● No verbal only prices. Everything is in writing before you confirm.
● Corporate clients needing reimbursement can request a proforma invoice at this stage, and comparison quotes for two vehicle classes can be issued together.
Step 3 - Confirm your booking and pay the advance
● Once you are satisfied with the written quote, confirm by WhatsApp or phone.
● A 20 per cent advance payment of the total fare confirms the booking.
● Pay by UPI through Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm, by NEFT, IMPS or RTGS bank transfer, or by credit or debit card through a payment link.
● Your advance receipt is issued within 30 minutes.
● Confirmation includes driver name and mobile number, vehicle registration, departure time, pickup location and the full billing breakdown, all in writing.
● For peak dates, including the November to February wedding season, Sankranti, Diwali and New Year, a higher advance may apply because the Urbania fleet is limited and permits need lead time.
Step 4 - Your driver arrives early
● Your assigned driver reaches the confirmed Bangalore pickup point 15 minutes before scheduled departure.
● For airport transfers, the driver coordinates at the arrivals gate.
● The vehicle arrives clean, sanitised, fuelled and ready. For wedding and VIP bookings the driver is in formal attire.
● The driver calls 30 minutes before arrival as a courtesy.
● During the trip the driver handles all routing, toll payments, both border crossings and the Hyderabad approach.
● At trip end the balance is settled after deducting the advance. Any additional kilometres or hours are billed at the pre agreed rate.
Quick booking: WhatsApp +91 9980277773 with your vehicle preference, Bangalore pickup location, Hyderabad destination area and travel date. Written quote in 2 hours.
Payment Methods
Tejas Travels accepts all major digital and traditional payment methods, for both the advance and the final settlement at trip end.
● UPI. Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM UPI and Amazon Pay. The fastest method, with instant confirmation on receipt, and the recommended route for all advance deposits.
● Bank transfer. NEFT, IMPS and RTGS. Used by corporate clients and for advances above Rs 10,000. IMPS is instant and NEFT can take up to 2 hours.
● Credit or debit card. Visa, Mastercard and RuPay, through a payment link sent to your registered mobile number or email. Valid for both advance and full payment.
● Net banking. All major Indian banks, through a payment link sent by WhatsApp or email. Preferred for purchase order based approvals in the Bangalore technology sector.
● Cash. Accepted for the balance at trip end, with a receipt issued. The advance must be paid digitally for the booking to be confirmed.
● Corporate credit. Thirty day credit terms for registered and signed corporate accounts, with monthly consolidated invoicing available.
Fleet note: an interstate booking of this length takes a vehicle out of circulation for two to four days, so these fill earlier than short routes. The November to February wedding season is the tightest period on this corridor in both directions. An advance payment is what guarantees your seating variant on your date.
Cancellation Policy
Tejas Travels maintains a fair, transparent and tiered cancellation policy. All terms are communicated in writing at booking confirmation, with no hidden conditions.

What Our Customers Say About Our Urbania Services in Bangalore
Why Choose Tejas Tours and Travels?
Frequently Asked Questions — Bangalore to Hyderabad Urbania
Hyderabad is about 570 kilometres from central Bangalore on NH44, through Chikkaballapur, Anantapur, Kurnool and Mahbubnagar. Realistic driving time is eight and a half to nine and a half hours including meal halts. The highway is four to six lane and well maintained for almost the entire distance with no ghat section, which makes this one of the easier long drives in south India despite the distance.
Yes, two. The route crosses from Karnataka into Andhra Pradesh and then into Telangana, and both states require permits for a commercial vehicle. Tejas Travels arranges both as part of the booking and the driver carries the documentation. The costs are billed at actuals and appear as stated lines on your quote. A quote that does not mention permits on this route is not a complete quote.
Honestly, it is priced close to a return. The vehicle has to come back to Bangalore whether or not you are in it, and garage to garage billing reflects that. Every operator accounts for the return leg somewhere, and quotes that appear to charge only for the outbound distance have either built it in elsewhere or will revise the number later. We show it explicitly so you know what you are comparing. If your group is returning within a few days, a round trip booking is usually better value than two one way arrangements.
Rates start at Rs 40 per kilometre. Fuel is included and billing is garage to garage. A return trip with local movement in Hyderabad runs about 1,250 kilometres, which puts a 13 seater booking around Rs 46, 300 plus driver bata, tolls, both permits and GST. Every quote is itemised in writing before you confirm.
It depends entirely on group size. For two people, flying wins comfortably. For four it is close. For eight to sixteen with luggage, a single vehicle is usually both cheaper and considerably less trouble than sixteen tickets, sixteen checked bags and four airport transfers, and it takes you from your door to your destination address rather than from terminal to terminal. Wedding and relocation groups almost always come out ahead by road.
Yes, and it is the best thing on this drive. The Veerabhadra temple sits fifteen kilometres off the highway near the Kodikonda checkpost and holds sixteenth century Vijayanagara ceiling murals among the largest surviving anywhere, a huge monolithic Nandi and the hanging pillar. The detour costs about ninety minutes including the drive in and out. Tell us at booking so the departure time allows for it.
Twenty per cent of the total fare. The advance must be paid digitally, by UPI, bank transfer or card, for the booking to be confirmed. Your receipt is issued within 30 minutes and the balance is settled at trip end after the advance is deducted.
The quoted fare includes the base fare, fuel charges and the driver allowance. Charged separately are toll and parking, interstate tax, which applies twice on this route, additional driver bata after 9:45 pm, and GST. The final rental is calculated on the total kilometres and hours from our garage back to our garage. Passenger insurance is not covered by Tejas Tours and Travels and should be arranged independently if you want it.
Yes, and for wedding bookings it is usually the sensible arrangement. The vehicle and driver remain with your group for local transfers between venue, hotel and functions rather than being released and rebooked, which during Hyderabad wedding season is both cheaper and far more reliable than arranging local vehicles at short notice. Tell us the number of days at enquiry so the quote reflects it.
Cancellations more than 72 hours before departure carry no charge and the full advance is refunded within 5 to 7 working days. Multi day interstate bookings need 7 days notice for a full refund, because both permits are arranged ahead and the vehicle is blocked for several days. Date changes with more than 24 hours notice are accommodated at no penalty, subject to fleet availability and permit revalidation. Call or WhatsApp +91 9980277773 with your booking reference.
