Day 1 : TB Dam, is a multipurpose dam built across Tungabhadra River in Hosapete, Bellary district. TB Dam has several attractions for visitors. Most tourists visiting Hampi include a stopover at TB Dam. Tungabhadra reservoir has a storage capacity of 101 TMC with catchment area spreading to 28000 square kms. TB Dam is about 49.5 meters in height and has about 33 crest gates.

Vijaya Vittala Temple

Day 2: Vijaya Vittala Temple, is an ancient structure, which is well known for its architecture and incomparable craftsmanship. The monument is seen as one of the largest and famed structures in the group of monuments in Hampi. The temple is located in the northeastern part of Hampi near the banks of the river Tungabhadra. The sprawling campus of the temple resembles a town featuring many halls, gateway towers, pillared pavilions and compound wall. Timings: 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM.

Queen’s Bath
Day 2:Queen’s Bath, in Hampi is a prodigious bath that represents the architectural excellence prevalent during the days of the Vijayanagara Empire. It is located near to the entrance of the Royal Enclosure in Hampi. Built during the reign of the Vijayanagara Empire, the Queen’s Bath attracts visitors even today, more than 500+ years after it was constructed. Timings: 6 AM to 6 PM.

Mahanavami Dibba
Day 2:Mahanavami Dibba or Dasara Dibba, This is the most improbable structure and the first thing you would notice as you enter the Royal Enclosure. From a distance this looks like an ordinary elevated square stage. As you go close, the details emerge. The whole structure is made as a giant square structure in three layers. The front stairway is decorated with ornate carvings of elephants, horses, soldiers and processions. The top of the platform provides a splendid view of the surrounding areas. Timings: 6 AM to 6 PM.

Stepped Tank
Day 2:Stepped Tank, is constructed using finely finished blocks of black stones. This Tank was probably used by the royals for religious purpose. The beautiful tank is about 22 square meters and about 7 meters deep. It has five distinct tiers, each fitted with steps set in a pleasing pattern. The water to this tank was drawn through the cleverly planned stone channels which are well maintained till date. Timings: 6 AM to 6 PM.

Archaeological Museum Hampi
Day 2:Archaeological Museum Hampi, It is the world's largest open-air museum. The ruins are located in two areas, generally referred to as the Royal Centre. The Archeological Museum in Hampi is under the Archeological Survey of India. There are two archeological museums in Hampi exhibiting sculptures, inscriptions and artifacts from the period between 1480 and 1680 when Adil Shahi Sultans ruled Deccan. The exhibits include miniature paintings, manuscripts, porcelain artifacts, coins, carpets and armory. Stone sculpture and inscriptions in Devanagari, Kannada, Arabic and Persian are also found in the Archeological Museum in Hampi. Architectural specimens of the structures in Aihole and Badami are also displayed in the second archeological museum of Hampi. Timings: 10 AM to 5 PM.

Lotus Mahal
Day 2:Lotus Mahal, is the primary attraction of the Zenana Enclosure. Shaped like a lotus flower from the top, the entrances of the structure resemble petals of a lotus and provide the whole structure the shape of a half-open lotus. The central dome is carved in the shape of a lotus bud. Lotus Mahal is built in Indo-Islamic style. Timings: 8 AM to 6 PM.

Elephant’s Stables
Day 2:Elephant’s Stables, is an impressive structure that was used to provide shelter for the royal elephants of the Vijayanagara Empire. There are 11 domed tall chambers. The whole building looks symmetric with respect to this central hall. The center chamber is specially decorated and big. The other 10 domes represent the Islamic style of architecture. Timings: 8 AM to 6 PM.

Prasanna Virupaksha Temple
Day 2:Prasanna Virupaksha Temple (Underground Temple), is one of oldest temples in Hampi. Built during the reign of the Vijayanagara Empire, the temple is located near the main road to Hampi bus stand and close to the Noblemen’s quarters after Chandikesvara temple. It is one of the popular temples that are visited by tourists on the Hampi trail. Timing: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Sree Virupaksha Temple
Day 2:Sree Virupaksha Temple, is the main point of pilgrimage at Hampi. This temple is suited on the south bank of the river Tungabhadra. This places has been a significant pilgrimage center for the worshipers of lord Shiva. Virupaksha temple is equally sort after by the tourists and pilgrims. The annual festivals attract huge crowds of both the types. It believed that this temple has been functioning uninterruptedly ever since its inception in the 7th century AD.
