Vijaya Vittala Temple, is an ancient structure, which is well known for its architecture and incomparable craftsmanship. The monument is seen as one of the largest and famed structures in the group of monuments in Hampi. The temple is located in the northeastern part of Hampi near the banks of the river Tungabhadra. The sprawling campus of the temple resembles a town featuring many halls, gateway towers, pillared pavilions and compound wall.

Queen’s Bath
Queen’s Bath, in Hampi is a prodigious bath that represents the architectural excellence prevalent during the days of the Vijayanagara Empire. It is located near to the entrance of the Royal Enclosure in Hampi. Built during the reign of the Vijayanagara Empire, the Queen’s Bath attracts visitors even today, more than 500+ years after it was constructed.

Mahanavami Dibba or Dasara Dibba
Mahanavami Dibba or Dasara Dibba, This is the most improbable structure and the first thing you would notice as you enter the Royal Enclosure. From a distance this looks like an ordinary elevated square stage. As you go close, the details emerge. The whole structure is made as a giant square structure in three layers. The front stairway is decorated with ornate carvings of elephants, horses, soldiers and processions. The top of the platform provides a splendid view of the surrounding areas.

Stepped Tank
Stepped Tank, is constructed using finely finished blocks of black stones. This Tank was probably used by the royals for religious purpose. The beautiful tank is about 22 square meters and about 7 meters deep. It has five distinct tiers, each fitted with steps set in a pleasing pattern. The water to this tank was drawn through the cleverly planned stone channels which are well maintained till date.

Lotus Mahal
Lotus Mahal, is the primary attraction of the Zenana Enclosure. Shaped like a lotus flower from the top, the entrances of the structure resemble petals of a lotus and provide the whole structure the shape of a half-open lotus. The central dome is carved in the shape of a lotus bud. Lotus Mahal is built in Indo-Islamic style.

Elephant’s Stables
Elephant’s Stables, is an impressive structure that was used to provide shelter for the royal elephants of the Vijayanagara Empire. There are 11 domed tall chambers. The whole building looks symmetric with respect to this central hall. The center chamber is specially decorated and big. The other 10 domes represent the Islamic style of architecture.

Prasanna Virupaksha Temple (Underground Temple), is one of oldest temples in Hampi. Sree Virupaksha Temple

Boothanatha Temple, is a magnificent structure situated on the banks of Agasthya Lake past Badami Museum. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, The temple is covered by water on three sides. The temple was constructed in early 8th century by Chalukya's. Constructed in Dravidian style, the temple is emerged into the Agastya Lake and becomes inaccessible during peak monsoons when the water level in the lake reach the full capacity.

Agastya Lake
Agastya Lake (Tirtha), is a huge lake located beneath the cave temples. Constructed in 5th century, the lake is considered holy due to the healing powers of its water. The eastern banks of the Agasthya Lake are dotted with Bhoothanatha temples while the caves temples are located on South West part and the fort on North West end. According to puranas, The Pushkarini was a pleasure tank of God in Vaikunta, and is a beloved of Lakshmidevi and Bhoodevi. The Pushkarini was brought and set here by Garuda, the vehicle of Lord Vishnu. A bath in it is believed to destroy all sins.

Badami Caves Temples
Badami Caves Temples, are a complex of four Hindu caves temples, representing the rock-cut architecture of the Chalukyan dynasty. Badami Fort

Banashankari Temple
Banashankari Temple, The original temple was built in 8th century, believed to be by Rashtrakutas, but the present structure traces its origin in the 17th century. This temple represents a combination of Dravidian & Nagara temple architecture. Haridra Tirtha, a large temple pond with a tall lamp tower built on a three story structure is situated opposite to the entrance of the temple and it's a delight to watch. The entire pond is surrounded by a corridor built with stone.

Jambulingeswara Temple, was built in 7th century AD is a famous religious site at Pattadakal. Upon entering this temple, devotees will find the figures of Goddess Parvati, Lord Shiva and Nandi. Just like it is twin Kadasiddhesvara Temple, it was built on an elevated plinth with five moldings. Followers can see the relics of a raised platform at the east side of this temple.

Virupaksha Temple
Virupaksha Temple, was built circa 740 AD by the Queen Lokamahadevi (Trilokyamahadevi) after her husband Vikramaditya II defeated the Pallavas. This old structure was built during the 8th century and is regarded as one of the oldest temples of Karnataka. The architectural style of the Virupaksha Temple has striking resemblance to that of the Kailasanathar Temple situated in Kanchipuram.

Papanatha Temple
Papanatha Temple, is a small temple built for Mukteswara and located to the south of Virupaksha area. From the inscriptions, it was found that the structure was completed circa 740 AD. The idols of Nandi and Virabhadra had been placed in proximity to the entrance of the inner hall. This temple can observe 16 massive pillars that are supporting the ceiling of the primary hall.

Pattadakal Jain Temple
Pattadakal Jain Temple, Designed by the Kalyani Chalukyas and Rashtrakutas in the 9th century. The beautiful Jain temple lies at the entrance of Temple Complex. Adorned with fine carvings of human figures, Sankhanidhi, dwarfs, kalasas, Padmanidhi. It is also decorated with lovely a-pillars with carvings, a sanctum with small shivalinga, and Rangamandira.

Kashi Vishwanatha Temple
Kashi Vishwanatha Temple, It is said that Kashi Vishwanatha Temple is the last temple among these architectures. This 8th century structure is one amongst the jewels of Pattadakal built by the Rashtrakuta dynasty. The temple sanctum and the passage leading to the sanctum are the only parts that have remained. A black stone Shivalinga is housed in the sanctum.
