Day 3: Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary or Mudumalai National Park, is located at the foothills of the Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu. It is one of the famous wildlife sanctuaries in Tamilnadu, and among the must include places in Ooty tour. The sanctuary is situated on Karnataka-Kerala border adjacent to Bandipur National Park of Karnataka and Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary of Kerala. Mudumalai is a part of Niligiri Biosphere Reserve which includes the Bandipur National Park, Rajiv Gandhi National Park (Nagarhole) in Karnataka, and Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary in Kerala. Things to do inside the park:
Elephant Feeding Camp, Mudumalai National Park also acts as a greening and refreshment point for the elephants. At these camps, you can play with elephants and their calves and also, bathe them, feed them or just watch them relax in their natural habitat.
Elephant Safari, near the reception area, you can choose an elephant for a ride in the forest. However, unlike the jungle safari by a jeep/bus, elephants don’t go deep in the woods. But watching the greenery around and above, from an elephant’s back is a memorable experience in itself.
Madumalai Museum, A Museum is suited near the Elephant feeding camp. Visitors can see a glance of history in the Museum, and it is worth visiting to observe the former dwellers of the forest in their preserved form, and how they match up to their current counterparts.

Barking deer, python and macaque are common sights, but you can also spot tigers, panthers and leopards in shades or around ponds.
Day 3: The Moyar River is just 7 km away from Masinagudi which technically separates Bandipur National Park and Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary. The river is actually a tributary of the Bhavani River. Picking an ideal spot, you can actually cross the Moyar River too depending on the flow and depth of the bank.
