Munnar is home to some of the world's best tea estates. The majority of the plantations are owned by Tata Group's Kannan Devan Tea Estate. Trekking facilities are available to reach Anamudi on foot.

Valara Waterfalls
Valara Waterfalls, Valara features a chain of waterfalls falling from a height of about 1000 feet and provide a magnificent view. Tea Museum
Tea Museum, exhibits different equipment used in tea manufacturing from early 20th century to late 20th century. Some of the items exhibited in the museum include the tea leave cutting machines, power making equipment, etc. The complete process of tea manufacturing is also explained in the museum. The museum is located in a beautiful location on Pooyankuty Road on the outskirts of Munnar town. Timings: 10 AM to 4 PM. Monday Holiday.

Rose Garden
Rose Garden, is a beautiful garden with hundreds of rare varieties of flowers and herbal plants. With large tea plantations in the background, this place can be visited during a trip to Munnar. Spread across a few acres of land, this place has an amenity center for tourists and a sales outlet, in addition to hundreds of rare varieties of flowers, cactus, shrubs, creepers and herbal plants.

Periyar National Park

Day 4
Alleppey Boat House
Alappuzha (Alleppey) is known as ‘the Venice of the East’. Giving the best tourist places in Alleppey, this charming place is the hub of Kerala’s backwaters and is home to a huge network of backwaters and more than thousand houseboats. The houseboats you find in the backwaters of Alappuzha are in fact a reworked version of the Kettuvallams of olden times. Kettuvallam is a Malayalam word, ‘Kettu’, means living structures and ‘Vallom’ means boat. In the olden days, kettuvallam or boat with a thatched roof that covers over wooden hulls was used to carry tons of rice and spices.

Alleppey Beach
Alleppey Beach is a lovely white sand beach on Arabian Sea. It is one of the top places to visit in Alleppey and among the most visited Kerala Beaches while holidaying in Kerala. The beach is lined with dense palm groves at one end. The children park at northern end of the beach is a good place to hang out for kids. There are no water sports facilities at the beach. The beach has considerably less commercial activity.
